The AHA Centre Emergency Response to LAO PDR

In September 2019, the AHA Centre supported the Government of Lao PDR in its response to floods by deploying its In-Country Liaison Team and sending Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN or DELSA relief items to Vientiane. Tropical Storm Podul and Tropical Depression Kaujiki with subsequent flooding were reported in six (6) provinces: Champasak, Saravan, Sekong, Savannakhet, Attapeu, and Khammouan. Total damage was estimated to cost US$10 million.
