Promoting Sustainable Development Goals at the ASEAN-Japan Fair 2023

The Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) commemorated the 50 Years of Cooperation and Friendship by holding the ASEAN-Japan Fair from 29 September to 1 October 2023.

With the theme Better Me for a Better Ocean, one of the Japanese business companies representing in Indonesia at the event, J Trust Bank, contributed to the achievement of sustainable development goals. Specifically, number 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, number 14 “Life Under the Sea”, and number 17 “Partnerships to Achieve Goals”.

Representative of the Mission of Japan to ASEAN TSUNEZUKA Itsumi said that J Trust Bank’s participation in the ASEAN-Japan Fair had a positive impact on the whole event. J Trust Bank was able to educate the public about waste management, especially textiles for the sake of marine sustainability, and attracted visitors’ attention through the activation of swapping clothes for up-cycling products with attractive decorations, all of which used textile waste.
