Opening Ceremony of the AHA Centre Executive Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management Programme (ACE-LEDMP) Middle Level

On 22 April 2025, the Opening Ceremony of the AHA Centre Executive Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management Programme (ACE-LEDMP) for the second batch of middle-level professionals was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. During the ceremony, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, H.E. San Lwin, Deputy Executive Director of the AHA Centre, Krishna Putra Tanaja, and Minister/Deputy Head of Mission, Mission of Japan to ASEAN, CHUJO Kazuo provided their remarks.

The programme aims to strengthen disaster management capacities across ASEAN Member States by fostering strategic thinking and preparing professionals to effectively address current and emerging challenges in disaster management. A total of 20 participants from the AMS are undertaking a two-month programme, which includes practical onsite sessions, and a study visit to Japan.

The ACE-LEDMP programme is primarily supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
