JMT Participates in the 5th Project Steering Committee Meeting for the “Establishment of a Disaster Emergency Logistic System for ASEAN (DELSA) Phase II”
JAKARTA, 22 September 2020 – The 5th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting for the Establishment of a Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN (DELSA) Phase II was held on 22 September 2020 through virtual meeting. The meeting was co-chaired by National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) Malaysia and Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF). The meeting was attended by the representatives from National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Philippines, Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Thailand, Mission of Japan to ASEAN, ASEAN Secretariat, the AHA Centre and JMT.
The platform was updated about the status of implementation of DELSA Phase II including deployment and activities in support of NDMO operations during Covid-19 Pandemic, sustainability of DELSA Programme, financial status and updates from Joint Committee Meetings. Moreover, it was also informed about the new concept note of Digitalisation of DELSA Satellite Warehouse Management System and upcoming Humanitarian Emergency Logistic Innovation Expo (HELIX.2021) in Hanoi, Viet Nam in 2021. JMT Programme Coordinator Zin Aung Swe provided the meeting with technical assistance on the possible area of post-DELSA project activities.
