As the continuation of JENESYS2020, the Government of Japan (GOJ) has committed to supporting the implementation of JENESYS2021 with the contribution of approximately USD 4,500,000. This time around, approximately 900 youths from Japan, ASEAN Member States (AMSs) and Timor Leste are expected to join the programme.
This project aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and the Asia region, including AMS and Timor-Leste, to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, as well as to encourage an understanding of various aspects of Japan. Moreover, it is hoped that the youth attending this programme will convey information about Japan to the general public of their respective countries, once the programme is completed.
