ACE LEDMP Programme Graduation Ceremony

JAKARTA, 22 March 2024 – The graduation ceremony of The AHA Centre Executive: Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management Programme (ACELEDMP) Middle Level– Batch 1 took place at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta on 22 March 2024. The ceremony commenced with remarks delivered by the Deputy Secretary-General (DSG) of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs, Nararya S. Soeprapto, the Director of the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre), Lee Yam Ming, and the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, KIYA Masahiko.

A total of 20 ACE LEMDP participants from nine ASEAN Member States engaged in a one-month intensive online session and another one-month practical onsite session, including a study visit to Japan. The participants expressed their fulfilment not only in enhancing their knowledge and skills but also in building networks and learning innovations in disaster management from Japan.

The ACE LEDMP Programme is funded by the Government of Japan through JAIF.
