ASEC Welcomes Delegates from the Japan Radio Air Navigation Systems Association (JRANSA)
JAKARTA, 25 – 29 April 2022 – On 25 April 2022, four delegates from the Japan Radio Air Navigation Systems Association (JRANSA) visited the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) to discuss the ongoing project Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Implementation Plan Training in ASEAN (GIPTA). The delegates met with the Desk Officer of the ASEC Transport Division (TD). The Officer in Charge at the Mission of Japan also attended the meeting.
The GIPTA project aims to introduce GNSS to ASEAN Member States, and thereby training and equipping ASEAN counterparts with sufficient knowledge of GNSS introduction and having the needs for the system in each country duly recognized.
On 29 April 2022, the JAIF Management Team (JMT) discussed with TD and JRANSA the planning of a seminar and a training to be held in the latter half of 2022. JMT also provided a briefing on essential JAIF regulations and procedures based on the latest JAIF Handbook.
