Attachment Officers Training on Project Development
JAKARTA, 23–24 January 2024 – Initiative for ASEAN Integration and Narrowing the Development Gap (IAI-NDG) Division of the ASEAN Secretariat held an insightful two-day training session on project development on 23 and 24 January 2024. Facilitated by the Programme Cooperation and Project Management Division of the ASEAN Secretariat and the JAIF Management Team (JMT), the training was packed with practical lessons designed for 12 Attachment Officers from selected ASEAN Member States.
Day 1 focused on ASEAN cooperation projects, logical frameworks, and effective monitoring and evaluation strategies, drawing on JMT’s extensive experience in project formulation and management.
Day 2 delved into the ASEAN appraisal and approval process, along with guidance on preparing progress and completion reports.
In their opening remarks, JMT Director Naoki Minamiguchi and Assistant Director Sumitra Jayaseelan of the IAI & NDG Division, emphasised the crucial roles of the Attachment Officers in managing projects effectively to support respective ministries in their home countries.
