JMT Participates in the Consultative Meeting for the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) Work Programme 2021-2025

JAKARTA, 18 September 2020 – As the Government of Japan is considered one of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) closest Dialogue Partners supporting ASEAN’s work in Disaster Management and is directly supporting the development of the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) Work Programme 2021-2025, a consultation meeting with think-tanks and academics from the region was convened on 18 September 2020 through virtual meeting.

Together with representative from the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, JMT Programme Coordinator participated the meeting. The JMT provided the meeting with the information of JAIF-supported projects under current AADMER Work Programme 2015-2020. The meeting exchanged the possible areas of Japan-ASEAN cooperation and coordination in disaster management and possible improvements in the WP 2021-2025.
