JMT Participates in the Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting for the “Development of Capacity for the Substitution and the Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of Mercury-containing Medical Measuring Devices”

BANGKOK, 26 February 2021 – The Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the Development of Capacity for the Substitution and the Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of Mercury-containing Medical Measuring Devices was held virtually on 26 February 2021. The meeting was attended by the representatives from Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Philippines, Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MOEF) and Ministry of Health (MOH) Indonesia, AIT RRC.AP, ASEAN Working group on Chemicals and Waste, Ministry of Environment of Japan, ASEAN Secretariat, and JAIF Management Team (JMT).

The meeting discussed progress of project implementation in terms of the situation assessment/inventory, guidelines on ESM on mercury-containing medical measuring devices, and update about the status of project activities in the Philippines.
