JMT Participation in HELIX 2021
JAKARTA, 25 May 2021 – The JAIF Management Team (JMT) participated in the iPITCH plenary session and Closing Ceremony virtually on 25 May 2021 which was a part of the Humanitarian & Emergency Logistics Innovation Expo (HELIX) 2021 hosted by the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre). iPITCH is a pitching competition of innovative ideas on humanitarian logistics. Total of eight finalists presented their ideas to the judges comprised of potential sponsors or adopters of their ideas. JMT Programme Coordinator, Sayuri Kakimoto participated as one of the judges for this competition.
In the Closing Ceremony, JMT Director, Mr. Naoki Minamiguchi presented the Diamond Award to the winner, Padayon, ASEAN Institute of Management (AIM) whose idea “PADAYON Donation Matching App” was selected by the audience.
HELIX 2021 was held in a virtual format and was attended by the Mission of Japan, experts and innovators from around the world. The event is one of the project activities of The Establishment of a Disaster Emergency Logistic System for ASEAN (DELSA) – Phase II: Satellite Warehouse supported by the Government of Japan through Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
