JMT Participation in the 2nd ASEAN-ERAT Project Steering Committee Meeting
JAKARTA, 16 February 2022 – The 2nd Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of the Strengthening ASEAN’s Collective Response Capacity through the Enhancement of the Capacity Building of the Regional ASEAN Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ASEAN-ERAT) (2020-2022) – ASEAN-ERAT Project Phase II, was held online on 16 February 2022. The meeting was co-chaired by Singapore and Thailand and attended by representatives from the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam, the ASEAN Secretariat, the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre), and the JAIF Management Team (JMT).
As the implementing agency, the AHA Centre reported the progress and planned activities. The meeting discussed the strategies to overcome current challenges in implementing the project. The first onsite training is scheduled in August 2022.
