JMT Visit to the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity in Los Banos, the Philippines

LOS BANOS, 9 June 2023 – As part of the monitoring mandate, the JAIF Management Team (JMT) visited the proponents and implementing agencies of JAIF projects in the Philippines. One of them was the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), which has been a long-time implementing partner of JAIF since 2010.

The visit aimed at providing a briefing to the ACB on JAIF essential rules and procedures and was attended by 13 ACB’s operations and programme staff members.

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Arvin Diesmos, Director of the ACB Information Management Unit, expressed ACB’s appreciation for the support from the Government of Japan through JAIF. He further added that the briefing on JAIF procedures would greatly help the ACB in ensuring the smooth implementation of JAIF-funded projects.
