Kick-off Meeting of the Second Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Implementation Plan Training in ASEAN (GIPTA 2.0)

JAKARTA, 1 March 2024 – A kick-off meeting of the Second Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Implementation Plan Training in ASEAN (GIPTA 2.0) was held on 1 March 2024.

It was participated by the ASEAN Secretariat, the Japan Radio Air Navigation System Association (JRANSA), the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and the JAIF Management Team (JMT) to discuss the project goals and work plan.

The presentations delivered by the project stakeholders focused on the project synopsis, important elements for implementation, and practical operational matters related to the JAIF-funded project.

The project aims to equip symposium and training participants with the knowledge and expertise to formulate a comprehensive GNSS implementation plan across the ASEAN region. This initiative strives to establish a safe and cost-effective air navigation system, leveraging the GNSS technology throughout ASEAN.
