In-house training workshop and SEAFDEC Courtesy Visit to Ambassador Kiya and Mission of Japan to ASEAN

JAKARTA, 10 January 2025 – From 10 to 13 January 2025, an in-house training workshop on the “Development of Stock Assessment Methods and Strengthening of Resources Management Measures for Tropical Anguillid Eel in Southeast Asia” was conducted in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), the Malaysia Department of Fishery, and experts from Japanese universities. The meeting served as a valuable platform to review the current status of catch per unit effort (CPUE) analysis and stock assessment of Tropical Anguillid Eels in the ASEAN region.

On 13 January, SEAFDEC extended a courtesy visit to Ambassador KIYA and the representatives of the Mission of Japan to ASEAN (MOJ).
