JMT Discusses with the National Electronic Authentication Centre, Ministry of Information and Communication of Viet Nam

JAKARTA, 4 August 2021 – The JAIF Management Team (JMT) invited the National Electronic Authentication Centre, Ministry of Information and Communication of Viet Nam for a virtual meeting. The Ministry acted as the proponent and implementing agency of the ongoing Study on the Framework for the Mutual Recognition of Digital Signatures in ASEAN.

The meeting discussed Japan-ASEAN collaboration in promoting Information and Communications Technology (ICT) through mutual recognition of digital signatures that can contribute to the enhancement of economic development in the region. The project’s objective adequately contributed to the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint 2025, section C.2 Information and Communication Technology as well we the ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2020, particularly strategic thrust 1 Economic Development and Transformation. Moreover, it served as an opportunity to enable closer ties between JMT and MIC of Viet Nam.
