JMT Participation in the 1st ASEAN-ERAT Project Steering Committee Meeting

JAKARTA, 26 March 2021 – The 1st Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting for the Strengthening ASEAN’s Collective Response Capacity through the Enhancement of the Capacity Building of the Regional ASEAN Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ASEAN-ERAT) (2020-2022) was held on Friday, 26 March 2021 by video conference.

The meeting was co-chaired by Malaysia and Singapore as Co-Chairs of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) Working Group on Preparedness, Response and Recovery (WG-PRR). The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Philippines and Thailand as host countries of DELSA satellite warehouses, representatives from the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, the ASEAN Secretariat, the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) and JAIF Management Team (JMT). The AHA Centre as the implementing agency for ASEAN-ERAT Phase II also provided secretariat support to the meeting.

The meeting was updated the progress of ASEAN-ERAT Transformation Project Phase II, budget utilisation, connectivity of Manager and Mobile Applications. The PSC members discussed the strategies of the project implementation under the current COVID-19 situation.
