JMT attends the 1st ASEAN- Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ERAT) Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of the ASEAN-ERAT Phase III
PATTAYA, 24 October 2023 – Representatives from the Mission of Japan to ASEAN (MoJ) and the JAIF Management Team (JMT) attended the 1st Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of the Strengthening the Capacity of the ASEAN Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ASEAN-ERAT) – Phase III(ASEAN-ERAT Phase III) project in Pattaya, Thailand. The meeting reported on an ASEAN-ERAT refresher course, Phase III activities, and the results of the ASEAN Regional Disaster Emergency Response Simulation Exercise (ARDEX) 2023.
MoJ and JMT also observed an ongoing ASEAN-ERAT level 2 course on Information Management at the same venue. A total of 13 participants from nine ASEAN Member States participated in the one-week training.
The ASEAN-ERAT level 2 course is a part of ASEAN-ERAT Phase III supported by the Government of Japan through JAIF.
