15th AJCCBC Cybersecurity Technical Training

15th AJCCBC Cybersecurity Technical Training
10 October 2019 -

A training to upgrade cybersecurity skills is another important strategy in the operation of Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, to be ready in dealing with ongoing online threats. The training provides the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) agencies and networks around the world with warnings and advice on how to deal with cyberthreats.

Since 2018, with a grant from Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (AJCCBC) developed the capacity of personnel in cyber security, and it has continuously developed the cybersecurity personnel of ten ASEAN nations.

AJCCBC’s latest event, the 15th AJCCBC Cybersecurity Technical Training, was held online on 27 September – 1 October 2021, with a total of 24 participants from ASEAN countries. The training content focuses on two topics: (1) Incident Response/CYDER over 2.5 days and (2) Network Forensics over the remaining 2.5 days.

Despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, AJCCBC’s activities must change from real-world training to online. Nevertheless, the 24 participants from ASEAN member states gained knowledge from the training that yielded effective results to continue using the skills to prevent cyber threats in their organizations and countries.
