ASEAN Youth Eco-Champions Award
The ASEAN Youth Eco-Champions Award (AYECA) is an ASEAN initiative to recognise proactive youths as young AMS citizens who made outstanding contribution in protecting the environment and realising a clean and green environment in his / her respective country and within ASEAN region. The AYECA is designed to engage potential youth recipients to spread their positive attitude towards the environment to a wider community. The 1st AYECA Award ceremony was organised by the Ministry of the Environment of Cambodia on 7 October 2019 in Siem Reap, Cambodia, back-to-back with the 3rd ASEAN Eco-Schools Award at the sideline of the 15th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on the Environment (AMME).
The ASEAN Environment Day 2019: 3rd ASEAN Eco-Schools Award and 1st ASEAN Youth Eco-Champions Award project is supported by the Government of Japan through Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
