Closing Ceremony of the Enhanced VTS Operator Training for ASEAN Phase 4
The Malaysia Marine Department (MMD) through the Maritime Transport Training Institute (MATRAIN) held the Closing Ceremony of the Enhanced VTS Operator Training for ASEAN (Phase 4). This ceremony was held to celebrate the participants of this course who have completed this course and have successfully passed. This course has been running for a month starting from 30 November to 1 December 2023.
This course is organized by MATRAIN in collaboration with the Japan Aids to Navigation Association (JANA) which is funded by the Japan ASEAN Integrated Fund (JAIF) and Light Dues Board (LDA). Participation in this course consists of participants from ASEAN countries who have sat the online assessment and passed to attend this course face-to-face. Teaching staff consists of lecturers with extensive experience in the field of Vessel Traffic Services (VTS).
A token of appreciation is also addressed to JAIF for sponsoring the ASEAN participants to attend this course. The implementation of this course proves the cooperation and close relationship between the Government of Japan and the ASEAN countries. It is hoped that this cooperation will continue for the good of the ASEAN countries and Japan.
