Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community visits Osaka to strengthen ASEAN’s Global Diplomacy at World Expo 2025
Deputy Secretary‑General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political‑Security Community, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, visited Osaka for the World Expo 2025. She met pavilion heads of the ASEAN Member States (AMS) and external partners of ASEAN (Japan, France, Germany, and the US), engaged with the UN and other organisations to strengthen cooperation for peace, humanitarian works as well as on sustainable development. The Expo serves as an ideal platform for ASEAN to showcase its cultural diversity, innovative initiatives and commitment to multilateralism, reinforcing its position as a key player in international diplomacy.
Utilization of Expo 2025 Osaka to Enhance ASEAN Awareness as a Single Tourist Destination project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
