First Project Steering Committee Meeting of Regional Policy Framework on Fostering Greater Understanding, Tolerance and a Sense of Regional Agendas among the Peoples of ASEAN

ASEAN has many initiatives and projects to foster greater understanding among its people. To be able to leverage these initiatives and to promote greater cross-sectoral collaboration, ASEAN is working towards developing the Regional Policy Framework on Fostering Greater Understanding, Tolerance and a Sense of Regional Agendas among the Peoples of ASEAN (GUTRA). Discussions were kick-started during the 1st Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting held this morning. In the coming months, ASEAN will be hosting a High-Level Cultural Forum and a Regional Policy Workshop that will involve various stakeholders to elevate the discussion.

The Fostering Greater Understanding, Tolerance and a Sense of Regional Agendas among the Peoples of ASEAN is supported by the Government of Japan through Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
