Golden Friendship Walk & Run 2023
On Sunday morning, 5 November 2023, the Mission of Japan to ASEAN and the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN co-organised a sports event called Golden Friendship Walk & Run 2023 at Senayan Park as part of the series of commemorative events for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, supported by the Japan ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF)
More than 100 participants run and walk together around Senayan area, totaling 5.6 km distance, to reduce carbon footprint and promote friendship. Among the participants were Deputy-Secretary General of ASEAN H.E. Michael Tene, who performed flag off, Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. of Thailand Mission to ASEAN Mr. Piyapong Nuntana, who gave the opening remarks with Ambassador Kiya, Ambassadors and representatives from other ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners, ASEAN Secretariat representative, and event sponsors from Private Sectors as well as public participants who won the lucky draw in Golden Friendship Walk & Run 2023 virtual event. ASEAN Friend from Japan, JABOT, has been unveiling in person and cheering together.
