Publication Recommendation: Central Sulawesi Triple Disasters, from Tragedy to Reconstruction and Recovery
Throwback to five years ago, when a devastating earthquake struck the Indonesian province of Central Sulawesi, triggering a tsunami and liquefaction.
Under the guidance of National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB) Indonesia, the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) supported national response efforts by facilitating the delivery of DELSA relief items, deployment of the ASEAN-ERAT, and providing logistics management assistance.
In the recovery phase, the AHA Centre also facilitated the development of the ASEAN Village or Kampung ASEAN, which was built with the support of the people of Brunei Darussalam, the Government of the Philippines, the Government of Australia, Direct Relief and other partners.
