The 23rd AJCCBC Cybersecurity Technical Training on Incident Response and Digital Forensics
27 October 2022 -

On 3 – 7 October 2022, ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (AJCCBC) under the Electronics Transaction Development Agency (ETDA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) conducted the 23rd AJCCBC Cybersecurity Technical Training to share the effective practices in dealing with cyber threats and to enhance the cybersecurity capacity of the ASEAN Member States. What is special about this training is that AJCCBC could finally welcome the participants again at its own facility in Bangkok, Thailand after being hindered by the pandemic for more than two years.

This training session covered two areas that are of the most importance for cybersecurity:

1) Incident Response course named CYDER (Cyber Defense Exercise with Recurrence), which focused on the improvement of the incident response ability to correspond against the cyberattacks through lecture, practical exercise based on actual attacks, and team discussion; and

2) Digital Forensics course which provided the participants with key skills in forensics techniques including how attackers attack servers in DMZ, how attackers attack client’s computers etc. which is based on simulation attack such as attack against servers in DMZ and APT attack.

This training is part of the ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (Step 2-2) funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
