The ASEAN Working Group on Chemicals and Waste
Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RRC.AP) participated and presented the update of the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) project proposal on ‘Development of Capacity for the Substitution and the Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of Mercury-containing Medical Measuring Devices’ during partner’s dialogue session of the 4th ASEAN Working Group on Chemicals and Waste (AWGCW) on 14-15 May 2019 in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The AWGCW was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of Myanmar and ASEAN Secretariat. The meeting noted that based on inputs from ASEAN Member States (AMS), RRC.AP will propose replication of the project in other AMS following the successful implementation of the current project.
