The Specialised Training Course on HRD for ASEAN Customs under JAIF Project

Elevating professional capacities at the Specialised Training Course on Human Resource Development (HRD) for ASEAN Customs Officers in Kashiwa, Japan on 13 – 17 November 2023 with support from the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).

Attended by 18 participants from eight ASEAN Member States and ASEAN Secretariat and discussed valuable insights shared by distinguished resource persons:

1) Mr. Oentarto Wibowo, WCO Accredited Expert on Capacity Building and Integrity,
2) Ms. TSUDA Yuko, Trainer and Research Department, Customs Training Institute, Ministry of Finance of Japan, and
3) Mr. MURAYAMA Takamasa, Trainer and Research Department, Customs Training Institute, Ministry of Finance of Japan.

The training provided ASEAN customs officials with knowledge and skills on training policies, succession planning, career development, integrity in customs, and formulation of methodologies for training programmes, as well as creating a network of customs professionals that can support advancing customs HRD practices in ASEAN.
