Highlight of JENESYS2024 Activities Reported in July 2025

JENESYS2024 aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan, ASEAN Member States, and Timor-Leste, to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, as well as to encourage an understanding of various aspects of Japan. The project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). These are the highlight of JENESYS2024 reported by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) in July 2025:

Call for Registration: JENESYS All ASEAN Countries & Timor-Leste Alumni

The application for JENESYS2025 ASEAN Online Alumni Meeting for All ASEAN Countries and Timor-Leste is open. This is an opportunity to get to know more about the Japanese culture, find the connection between you/your country and ASEAN and Timor-Leste.

JENESYS Dispatch Program to Southeast Asia

As part of the “JENESYS2025” program promoted by the Japanese Government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), a deployment program to ASEAN countries and online exchange program will be held for high school students to graduate students.

Call for Registration: JENESYS for Online Japan-Visit Advanced Program for ASEAN Alumni

The application for JENESYS2025 Online Japan-Visit Advanced Program for All ASEAN Countries and Timor-Leste is open. This is an opportunity to deepen the understanding of the theme: Startups and Economic Partnership or Environment and Disaster Prevention and get to know more about the Japanese culture, find the connection between you/your country and ASEAN and Timor-Leste through the lecture by the organisations, companies or the university etc.

Mekong Five Countries Online Alumni Meeting

JICE is excited to invite JENESYS ASEAN Mekong Five Countries Alumni to an online exchange program.

Let’s reunite with fellow alumni from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam to:

・Deepen your understanding of Japan

・Engage in meaningful discussions with like-minded peers

・Share your experiences and gain fresh perspectives

Speakers from Niigata University will be invited and introduce the activities of Niigata University and its Faculty of Engineering, and share insights into the innovative G-DORM Program, a collaborative education model with universities in the Mekong region that fosters globally minded talent.
