Opening Ceremony the AHA Centre Executive (ACE) Programme 7th Batch
The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre) is welcoming 21 professionals in disaster management from 10 ASEAN Member States officially joined the AHA Centre Executive (ACE) Programme Batch 7 on 6 August 2021. The opening ceremony was held online and well attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN H.E. Kung Phoak, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN H.E. CHIBA Akira, Executive Director of the AHA Centre Ms Adelina Kamal, ambassadors and representatives from ASEAN Member States as well as Dialogue Partners and partners of ASEAN.
With the support from the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), this year’s programme will be conducted in a hybrid arrangement for eight months with aims to develop future leaders of Disaster Management in ASEAN through on-the-job training and various training programmes for officers from National Disaster Management Offices of ASEAN Member States.
