Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN (DELSA)
The Satellite Warehouse in Chainat Province will enable ASEAN and particularly the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (the AHA Centre) in Indonesia to more effectively mobilise and distribute relief items to disaster-affected ASEAN Member States. Networking with the Regional Warehouse in Malaysia and the Satellite Warehouse in the Philippines, this Satellite Warehouse in Thailand will further strengthen ASEAN’s collective response to natural disasters under the “One ASEAN, One Response” across ASEAN. The Satellite Warehouse is another deliverable of Thailand’s ASEAN Chairmanship under the theme of “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability.
The Establishment of a Disaster Emergency Logistic System for ASEAN (DELSA) – Phase II: Satellite Warehouse is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
