SEAFDEC Secretariat Organised the Anguillid Eel Data Analysis Meeting in Palembang, Indonesia
On 25-30 September 2023, the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) Secretariat organised the Anguillid Eel Data Analysis Meeting in the SEAFDEC/IFRDMD Building in Palembang, Indonesia. The Meeting aims to discuss the methods for the comprehensive stock assessment of Anguillid Eels in Indonesia. The resource person was Prof. Toshihide Kitakado from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Japan. The Meeting was funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) through the project Development of Stock Assessment Methods and Strengthening of Resources Management Measures for Tropical Anguillid Eel in Southeast Asia. The eel team of Inland Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (IFRDMD) participated in the Meeting, which was also attended by Mr. Takatsugu Kudoh (Senior expert and Assistant Project Manager for the Japanese Trust Fund Program) and his assistant, Ms. Patompon Putpipat.
