The relationship between ASEAN and Japan has a long history. In 2023, Japan and ASEAN celebrate the 50th anniversary of friendship and cooperation, and looking back, there were many opportunities that strengthened the bond between the two. Now after 50 years, ASEAN countries and Japan have developed significantly. This white paper is to look back and analyze the relationship, including economic growth between both in marking the 50-year milestone and Japan with each ASEAN Member States.
