50th Anniversary of Japan-ASEAN Friendship and Cooperation “Golden Friendship, Golden Opportunity: Heart-to-heart Partners
The relationship between Japan and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), which has achieved remarkable development since 1973, celebrated its 50th anniversary of friendship and cooperation in 2023. Since 1973, relations between Japan and ASEAN have accomplished remarkable development. Youths from Japan and ASEAN interact under various themes such as Asian cultural exchange policy, politics, economy, society, culture, history, and sports under the title “WA Project – Getting to Know Asia“. The people-to-people exchanges between Japan and ASEAN through the “JENESYS Project” will form the basis of a strong partnership called “heart-to-heart partners,” and we will work closely together for peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region. We have built a strong cooperative relationship. The JENESYS project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
Three people who have previously participated in the “JENESYS Project” and the “WA Cultural Project” will talk about “people-to-people exchanges” from their respective countries, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Japan.
