ASEAN-Japan Medical Device Regulatory Training Officially Launched in Jakarta

The Indonesian Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) of Japan, along with the Pharmacy Faculty of Universitas Indonesia, has officially launched a two-year project titled “ASEAN-Japan Medical Devices Regulatory Training 2025.” This project aims to strengthen the capacity of the medical equipment regulator in ASEAN to promote harmony in regulation within the medical technology development.

This project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), with additional support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

With this close collaboration between ASEAN and Japan, both parties highlight their joint commitment to creating a regulatory system for medical devices that focuses on the patients’ safety.
