JAKARTA, 28 November and 11 December 2025 – The JAIF Management Team (JMT) conducted online interviews with HOSOI Seika from Japan and Radsorin Ung from Cambodia, who attended the 1st ASEAN-G7 Next Leaders Forum in Tokyo, Japan, in 2024.

The 1^st ASEAN-G7 Next Leaders Forum brought together young government officials from Justice Ministries from ASEAN Member States, G7, and the ASEAN Secretariat, which was held in Tokyo from 26 June to 2 July 2024. The participants of the Forum shared policy issues each country faces and discussed common challenges. They also attended lectures and excursions to the correctional facilities, the Supreme Court, and the rehabilitation facilities.

With the information gathered from the interviews, JMT will develop a Beneficiaries’ Voice article to communicate JAIF’s contributions more widely, particularly among the citizens of Japan and ASEAN, and other JAIF stakeholders.
