JAKARTA, 9 March 2026 - JMT paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Permanent Mission of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to ASEAN on 9 March 2026. JMT Director, Naoki Minamiguchi, and Senior Programme Officer, Billy Sumuan were warmly received by Deputy Chief of Mission, Counsellor Crisógno de Araújo.

During the meeting, JMT shared its plan to organise a project management training in Timor‑Leste aimed at strengthening the capacity of government officials to formulate and implement ASEAN Cooperation Projects (ACP).

Counsellor Araújo welcomed the proposed initiative and expressed confidence that the programme would help officials from Timor-Leste further engage in regional initiatives, as the country continues to expand its contributions toward the realisation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.”
