JMT Director Delivers Presentation during the ACAI Webinar: "Turning the Regional Action Plan on Active Ageing into Practice”

JAKARTA, 27 August 2026 - JMT took an active role in the inaugural webinar of the ASEAN Centre for Active Ageing and Innovation (ACAI), titled “Turning the Regional Action Plan on Active Ageing into Practice” on 27 August 2026.

As a long-standing supporter of regional initiatives on active ageing, JAIF continues to contribute to ASEAN’s efforts to build inclusive, healthy, and resilient societies. During the webinar, JMT Director Naoki Minamiguchi as a panellist shared perspectives on how regional investments and cooperation can help translate the ASEAN Regional Action Plan on Active Ageing into practical and impactful actions across ASEAN Member States.

The webinar brought together experts and policymakers from across the region, including representatives from ACAI, the Philippines Department of Health, the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office, and the Research Institute of Science for the Better Living of the Elderly of South Korea, to discuss collaborative approaches for advancing active ageing in ASEAN and to strengthen partnerships that support the wellbeing and active participation of older persons throughout the region.
