JAKARTA, 4 October 2024 - JMT welcomed 20 disaster management experts from ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste as an Observer who have engaged in “AHA Centre Executive Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management for ASEAN Programme (ACE LEDMP) Executive Level 2024” supported by the Government of Japan through JAIF, this four-month training programme is a commitment to enhance disaster management.

During their visit, JMT Director Naoki Minamiguchi presented on ASEAN-Japan cooperation in disaster management to the participants, followed by a quiz led by JMT Programme Coordinator Zin Aung Swe.

The training for the second batch will conclude with a graduation ceremony on 25 October 2024.

ACE LEDMP participants visited the ASEAN Secretariat and the JMT office.
