The AHA Centre welcomes the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, YONETANI Koji, to the office today. Welcomed by the AHA Centre's Executive Director, Lee Yam Ming, the meeting featured a fruitful discussion on disaster management in ASEAN, including ongoing and future collaborations supported by the Government of Japan.

Japan has been a longstanding and invaluable partner to the AHA Centre through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), supporting flagship initiatives such as ASEAN-Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ASEAN-ERAT), Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN (DELSA), and AHA Centre Executive-Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management Programme (ACE-LEDMP). These programmes continue to strengthen ASEAN’s preparedness, coordination, and response capacity across the region.
