ASEAN and Japan will collaborate to promote the concept of smart cities in each member city of the ASEAN Smart City Network (ASCN). The “ASEAN-Japan Smart City Network High Level Meeting” will be held to share the ASEAN countries needs and Japan’s know-hows and technologies, also providing a place for matching among public institutions and private organizations. Furthermore, the “ASEAN-Japan Smart City Network High Level Meeting” will be held together with the “Asia Smart City Conference (ASCC)” and “Global Smart City Alliance Establishment Meeting” under the joint slogan of “Asia Smart City Week (ASCW)”, and aims to disseminate smart city initiatives from Japan.

The High Level Meeting is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
