Commemorating the Achievements of the ACE-LEDMP and Strengthening the Capacity of ASEAN-ERAT Projects

The AHA Centre and Japan celebrated the achievements of the ACE-LEDMP and Strengthening the Capacity of the ASEAN-ERAT projects at the 5th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) Plus Japan in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The commemoration ceremony celebrates the success of the ACE-LEDMP and ASEAN-ERAT projects, which contributed to strengthening the capacities of ASEAN Member States in disaster management through skill-building, knowledge-sharing, enhancement of guidelines, and the deployment of ASEAN-ERAT during emergency response.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, KIYA Masahiko, and witnessed by Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions, First Vice President of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chair of ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) 2025, Kitte Sangahak Bandith Kun Kim, Deputy Minister for Disaster Management, Cabinet Office of Japan, Kambara Norifumi, and Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn.
The AHA Centre is grateful for the continued support of the Government of Japan to these projects through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) and hope to continue working hand-in-hand with Japan to strengthen ASEAN’s disaster management efforts in the years to come.
