Highlight of JENESYS Activities Reported in June 2026

JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan, ASEAN Member States, and Timor-Leste, to lay the foundation for future friendship and cooperation, and to encourage understanding of various aspects of Japan. The project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). This is the highlight of JENESYS, reported by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) in June 2026:

 Announcement of JENESYS Dispatch Program to Southeast Asia

As part of the "JENESYS", an exchange program promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a deployment program to ASEAN countries will hold an online exchange program for high school students to undergraduate students.

Apply if you think you want to deepen your understanding of different cultures through international exchange, are curious about trying a homestay, and want to convey the charm of Japan to the locals, and are interested in Japanese culture.

JENESYS Dispatch Program to Southeast Asia

Recruitment for participants and participating schools for the JENESYS Dispatch Program to Southeast Asia has started.   University to graduate students and high school students are eligible to join. The deadline for the application is Friday, 17 July.
