25 January 2018

Following the successful implementation of the Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN (DELSA) project during the period of 2012 – 2017, the Government of Japan continues supporting ASEAN in advancing its disaster management and preparedness strategies through the second phase of DELSA. This covers several activities to further enhance ASEAN’s preparedness and response capacity to reduce and address the impacts of natural disasters across Southeast Asian countries. It includes the establishment of two satellite warehouses in the Philippines and Thailand, in addition to the existing regional stockpile in Subang, Malaysia, and the development of long-term agreements with suppliers.
