From 7-9 May 2025, Members of the ASEAN-ERAT and ASEAN-ERAT Advisory Group gathered at an important workshop to shape the future of ASEAN's signature emergency response team.

Funded by Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), the ASEAN-ERAT Strategic Plan Workshop aimed to validate strategic priorities and key initiatives for the 2026-2030 plan that will align with the AADMER and One ASEAN, One Response Strategies.

The workshop also resulted in a draft mission and vision focusing on capacity strengthening, localisation, deployment, responding beyond the region, and governance.
