Coordination Meeting with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES)

The first annual coordinating meeting among the Mission of Japan (MoJ), the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and the JAIF Management Team (JMT) was held virtually on 28 June 2024.

The meeting focused on sharing knowledge and fostering synergy for future projects.  Project Managers provided updates on project implementation, achievements, financial summaries, and challenges.  Representatives from the MoJ and JMT offered valuable inputs and comments. Participants found the meeting productive and agreed to convene twice a year.

IGES, a key implementing agency for environment-related projects funded by the Government of Japan, currently oversees six JAIF-funded projects at various stages of implementation.
