JMT Provides a Briefing to the Implementing Agency of the Regional Project for the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action for the Management of Fishing Capacity
The JAIF Management Team (JMT) attended the online project inception meeting of the newly approved JAIF project, Implementation and Assessment of the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action for the Management of Fishing Capacity.
Representing the project’s implementing agency -Marine Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (MFRDMD) of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), Ms. Mazalina binti Ali reported to the meeting about the progress so far as well as the planned activities.
Following a discussion on the planned activities, Miyuki Ishikawa, JMT Programme Coordinator, provided a briefing to the project implementation team, comprising the MFRDMD/SEAFDEC and the Department of Fisheries Malaysia. The briefing covered JAIF rules and procedures, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, and guidelines on visibility.
Technical advice was also provided by the Food, Agriculture and Forestry Division of the ASEAN Secretariat.
