The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the JAIF Management Team Jointly Organise Coaching Clinic for JAIF Stakeholders
BANGKOK, 23-24 November 2023 – Hosted jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the JAIF Management Team (JMT), the JAIF Coaching Clinic for JAIF Stakeholders was held in Bangkok on 23-24 November 2023. With a focus on hands-on learning, 40 representatives from government and regional organisations delved into the intricacies of JAIF cooperation, gaining valuable insights into project proposal development and effective project implementation under the ASEAN Cooperation Projects framework.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Chatvadee Chindawongse, Director of Strategy and Cooperation Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand expressed her gratitude for Japan’s long-lasting support for ASEAN’s integration efforts through JAIF. On the other hand, JMT Director Naoki Minamiguchi commended Thailand’s important role in ASEAN’s comprehensive integration through various strategic initiatives.
The two-day workshop also provided unique opportunities for the Thai officials to consult JMT about their ongoing project issues or new project ideas as well as to take interactive approaches to in-depth exchanges of practical knowledge and experiences between JMT, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the participants.
