Visit to JMT by the AHA Centre Executive Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management for ASEAN Programme (ACE LEDMP) Middle Level 2024

JAKARTA, 15 March 2024 – The JAIF Management Team (JMT) welcomed 20 disaster management experts from the ASEAN Member States who engaged in a two-month-long training programme, TheAHA Centre Executive Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management for ASEAN Programme (ACE LEDMP) Middle Level 2024. JAIF has financed the ACE training programme since May 2018. The middle-level training for the first batch of experts was concluded with a graduation ceremony at the ASEAN Secretariat on 22 March 2024.

Prior to their departure from Jakarta, Indonesia, JMT had the privilege to share with them that Japan and ASEAN have longstanding friendship and cooperation in various fields, particularly disaster management cooperation. As government officials, many of the experts work with national disaster management or civil defence offices. JMT wished the participants successful future chapters as they return to their home countries and carry forward the new experiences, knowledge, and skills gained from the ACE LEDMP Programme.
