First PSC Meeting on Digital Adoption and Market Expansion of Japan-ASEAN’s Digital Startups, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
JAKARTA, 27 November 2024 – The first Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting on the Digital Adoption and Market Expansion of Japan-ASEAN’s Digital Startups, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises or (J.A.D.S) project was held virtually. The meeting was attended by representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Cambodia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication of Japan, Implementing Agencies (Idea Consultancy Co. Ltd and Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology), and supporting institutions such as the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund Management Team (JMT), Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO).
During the meeting, the JMT Programme Coordinator presented key elements and procedures related to the JAIF-funded project and addressed members’ queries.
The J.A.D.S project seeks to foster regional development of startups and MSMEs in ASEAN and Japan through digital upskilling, adoption, and market expansion.
The project is funded by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). This project marks a significant step towards enhancing the digital economy and strengthening collaboration between ASEAN and Japan.
